The new built center serves as assembly hall and medical care office for five mountain villages and further offers 2 rooms for overnight stays of external NGO working on develpoment projects. It is built in traditional Dajii construction which is earth quake resistant and uses local materials. The floor plan matches the needs of local culture and international guests. The solar design concept reduces the heat demand and the new roof section design enables the use of solar thermal panels for heat water and photovoltaic for autarc generated electric power. The focus was on simplicity- local tradition, modern functionality and solar building. All construction work could be covered by local ressources. scope of work: selection of site, development of siteplan, construciton and functions, preliminary design, review of working drawing.
