Constantinos Kalisperas Uncut

Constantinos Kalisperas Architectural Studio as Architects

Never short of pushing the envelope in design and creative collaborations, El Greco Gallery in Nicosia Cyprus has exhibited “Uncut” the early works of architect Constantinos Kalisperas that have accomplished to transform “every day design” into extra-ordinary objects.

The work has started several years ago in parallel with a variety of architectural projects were the architect experimenting with materials like bronze, iron, polycarbonate, corian and glass combining deferent techniques throughout the architectural discourse.

The installation of the works provides a unique experience that transforms from day to night, interacting with the pedestrian and vehicular flow on the busy Limassol – Nicosia Avenue.

Affected by emotions, actions, re-actions and believes, the work re-examines and re-generates its “context” through several conceptual procedures and architectural techniques. Each object is affected by different parameters and re-animates its morphological and programmatic qualities accordingly.

Through filtering procedures emotions are technologically re-packed into a solid mass that is re-worked and re-formed into extra-ordinary objects of emotions, which gradually reveal hidden secrets.
