For developments in the UK involving buildings with either Listed status or in a conservation area, most Fakro roof windows are available in conservation style for installation neatly within the roof line. An increasing number are being supplied to bespoke requirements as in the restoration of the Grade II listed Co-Operative Pioneers’ Museum in Rochdale. Architects Loop Systems selected the FTP-V roof window to replace 8 old rooflights set within a traditional stone slate roof as part of the reinstatement of the top floor. The roof was stripped and relaid and Fakro’s EZJ flashing used to provide the necessary flush window profile.
