June 2022 / Naoussa / Paros
Interior Design Laboratorium presents COSME, a Luxury Collection Resort in Naoussa, Paros. A journey of experiences amidst the waters of the Aegean that embraces travelers and celebrate the joy of life. A crossroad of land, sea and culture. A place open to possibilities and choices, where you are free to be. COSME is a place that invites you to discover the wisdom of local tradition and the generosity of hospitality.
For COSME Interior Design Laboratorium engraved an original aesthetic philosophy under the name “The Aegean touch”, with references to tradition and history of the Cyclades. The Greek islands, the lives of the people on them, their relationship with the sea, as well as the character of the buildings, sculpted by time and the human hand, are a timeless harmonious mixture of elements, an integral part of the Cycladic DNA.
The architecture of COSME is inspired by the bright fishing villages of Paros, designed as a natural extension of Naoussa. Traditional construction techniques blended with modern design lines gives an outcome that relaxes you and makes you feel like you are wandering the paths of a real Cycladic neighborhood. The buildings are clad in local stone and traditional plaster, creating a harmonious architectural composition. Between them the microcosm of a community is created where one can experience pleasant encounters and moments of connection.
A fascinating puzzle of materials unfolds in the interior of the hotel, inviting the guest to discover them gradually, adding the element of surprise and imagination. Inspired by personal stories from cosmopolitan travelers who discover and collect rare treasures, an eclectic mix between custom made furniture, specially designed for COSME, and eponymous designer pieces is made.
With nautical tradition, folk life and classical painting as pillars of inspiration, Greek artists participate in this Cycladic community, with works that can be found throughout the hotel. These works mix classical and contemporary art techniques and are presented in a variety of forms, including contemporary photography, ceramics, murals and floor painting.
