Architect Ruchir Sheth and Interior Designer Krupal Sheth of Design Studio Associates have designed a tasteful 3BHK sample house of 1100 sq.ft. built up area for Courtyard Primero – situated near Gotri Lake – the up and coming elite area of Vadodara, Gujarat.
“While designing a client’s home, you try to integrate the client’s personality into the design. But when you’re designing a sample house, you have to not only ensure that it is attractive, but also show the prospective buyers what life in that home would be like,” inform Architect Ruchir Sheth and Interior Designer Krupal Sheth.
A minimalist foyer is adorned modishly with wall paneling and a serene Pichwai painting. The floating shelf also acts as an entryway table, thereby affording more space and openness to the area.
The living room has a feature wall that sports chevron wood veneer – offset by the same marble that is used in the flooring. The plush upholstery on the sofa adds a pop of colour, while the double-decked center-table breaks the monotony of the straight lines.
The kitchen is given a distinctive identity by adding mint colour to the modular cabinets. The pendant lighting focuses on the raised platform that acts both as a storage unit as well as a breakfast table, making it functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The circular dining table has a unique turntable. The chairs are designed for maximum comfort and add vitality to the space with their bright colour. The abstract light fixture provides ambient lighting. The mirror on the opposite wall is not only a design feature, but also helps in creating an illusion of a bigger space.
With Victorian paneled walls, this bedroom radiates an aura of sophistication. The twin bedposts, the intricate headboard and the eclectic wall mounted sconces above the bedside tables render the design timeless.
The different patterns of wall paneling capture one’s attention. The tufted headboard appeals to the comfort of the bed, while the bedside table with its elegant night-lamps gives a relaxing ambience. The double-sized wardrobe has mirrored doors that reflect the floor-length mirror on the opposite wall, thereby creating a convolution of design and space.
