Demolition & reconstruction of a gas station shop

Located in a secluded area, along the main road between Neuchâtel and Pontarlier, the Grenacher gas station is very well situated. Just before entering the village of Fleurier, the shop of the station which had been transformed several times and lacked thermal insulation needed to be seriously updated. The new building creates a much bigger shop with two differentiated spaces, one generous area dedicated to the groceries and another one offering a café and snack corner to those who wish to have a little break. The envelop which needed to be completed insulated has been replaced with an aluminum wall cladding. Its mate bronze coating makes the building noticeable while being in harmony with its natural environment.
