DianaKlinik Bad Bevensen

HEWI as Architects

The motto of the DianaKlinik – "Anyone who comes here as a patient should find a home from home." – is clearly reflected in the well thought-through design, which is wholly orientated to the aspect of patient rehabilitation. This is especially clear in the fitout of the patients' rooms – they have a homely character. They are light and modern in design. Comforts such as a television and internet connection are standard issue. Each patient's room also has an en suite bathroom with shower and WC. Here too, much value has been placed in not only designing the bathroom units to fulfil the functional requirements, but also to add as many homely elements as possible too. The products used are intended to promote the patients' independence, without being identifiable as medical aids. A good example of how attractive design and accessibility does not have to be a contradiction in terms is the washbasins used. They unite award-winning design and practicality.

The washbasins are wheelchair accessible, have a linear design and have shelf areas. The smooth, pore-free surface is not only hygienic but is also easy-care.

The focus was also on making the occupants feel at ease when it came to choosing the hinged support rails and shower grab rails. Here the WARM TOUCH products were chosen. WARM TOUCH is an innovative material, which has the visual high gloss appearance of chrome and the properties of polyamide when it comes to touch. Thanks to their pleasant surface temperature, WARM TOUCH products are especially suitable for patients with rheumatic disorders.

WASHBASINS HEWI washbasins made of high-quality mineral composite impress with their aesthetic and ergonomic design. They fulfil the highest durability and hygiene requirements. The washbasins are also designed to be wheelchair accessible and can therefore be used both in a standing and seated position. In this way, maximum comfort and convenience are provided by accessible design. Integrated gripping and stabilisation options increase safety. The gripping slots can also be used as practical towel rails.
Generously sized shelf areas provide plenty of space for all the necessary bathroom utensils, so that they are always to hand.

WARM TOUCH WARM TOUCH unites the visual properties of high gloss chrome surfaces with the haptic properties of polyamide. The products feel pleasantly warm and therefore contribute to the user's feeling of well-being. Due to this property, WARM TOUCH products are especially suitable for patients with increased sensitivity to cold, for example, those who have rheumatic disorders.
The tubular design enables symmetrical gripping. The chrome-look coating process not only enables a fine look with high degree of gripping comfort, but also an extremely resistant surface. The products are finished using a special coating process.
