Distrito Fijo is a retailing Project with 85 built square meters. It is located inside Juarezdistrict in Mexico City.
The projects design was based on creating a continuous path inside the building that would connect the three different kinds of activities that were to be realized there. A Café, a cycling showroom and a mechanical workshop were the areas that the activities program required.
The main aim of the project was to introduce this sport to the local community and to offer activities that will involve them with the growing cycling community of Mexico City. Therefore, the floor plan of the building is distributed into three main levels. On the ground floorwe are able to find the Café area, which was designed to have a direct relationship with the context that surrounds the building. The cycling showroom is located on the first floor, where people can find bicycles and multiple accessories for every kind of cycler. Whether you are a beginner or a professional cycler, Distrito Fijo has got an adequate bicycle for you. Apart from this, Distrito Fijo offers maintenance and repair to all of its customers, therefore a mechanical workshop is located on the las floor.
