In the Dorpsstraat in de Bilt one of the foundations of the organization Emmaus is located. Emmaus sells second hand stuff. There are homeless people living above the store, who are the employees of the shop as well. The shop had a look that did not do justice to the fine articles and the public that came there. Therefore it was decided to give the store more light and air. The 'cozy sniffer corners’ didn’t lack as well. These are designed like aisles / niches, which improved strongly the oversight.
Due to the limited budget there is chosen for a closet of cardboard pallets. These can carry 250 kilograms! The lighting is a functional conduit as huge chandelier, and adds a practical touch. There is more space for extra stuff in the store, and that turnover will benefit.
