The concept for this single family house in Radomlje has been influenced by the geometry and orientation of the allotment and by the views that open on to neighbouring buildings. In addition, the house is defined by its micro-location at the very edge of the existing residential area. The allotment can be accessed from the connection road on the eastern side. Functions in the house are divided according to the floors: the day part (the living area on the ground floor with technical rooms and a garage on the eastern side) and the night part with bedrooms on the first floor.
The house is located at the edge of a residential area and thus forms a visual mark with its shed-roof, minimising its intrusion into the visible sphere of the neighbouring block of flats. It is designed in a »classical« manner (built of bricks and roughcast), yet it is also modern since the roof has been conceived as a triangular prism of clear forms blended into the uniform volume of the building.
