Municipal regulations in force at the time of the project requires the implementation of housing over a surface. Therefore, it has been proposed (and approved by the Administration) performing a false facade.
However, a false front bioclimatic limits, the standard of housing. Therefore, it has been projected based on screen-printed glass, and the front porch, just as, with half the glass floor.
This does not limit the potential bioclimatic level, and incidentally, offers a richer space to housing.
The rooms housing pivot around a central courtyard covered that pierces the three levels of the same, and provide natural overhead lighting, every day of the year.
The homes will behave completely different in winter or summer, and can be reconfigured easily to move from one state to another.
In winter the houses become greenhouses, obtaining the maximum solar radiation in the south. Below the glass balconies are installed sliding panels, moving to stand beneath the massive, allowing the housing between the highest level of direct sunlight. This greenhouse is heated by solar radiation and accumulation.
In contrast, in summer, the windows close completely south, through sliding panels, and the houses are illuminated by indirect sunlight from the north and indirect solar zenith central covered courtyard. The existing sliding panels below the windows are moved outwards, below the glass, protecting the home of solar radiation, creating a shaded area on the south facade of each dwelling.
The heating system chosen is based on electric batteries nightly rate. By having a high level structure of bioclimatic housing have little need for energy consumption. In fact consume only 50% of the energy of a conventional house of the same surface. On the other hand, choosing night rate, the cost of electricity is reduced to 50%. By combining both worlds, what you get is a final price of electricity by 25%. What makes it the cheapest energy available. Similarly, this increases the "quality" of electricity, and that makes 4 times more effective. Finally, the electric heating is the safest, cleanest, and needs no additional spaces dedicated or expensive facilities.
