Franccino Giardini

David Guerra Architecture and Interiors as Architects

Furniture manufacturer Franccino has an 18-year tradition in the market, and its outdoor furniture brand Franccino Giardini has been in Belo Horizonte for 15 years. When, however, the brothers realized that there was potential to bring their internal furniture brand, Franccino Casa, we were hired to carry out the concept store project, which aggregated the full potential of the brand showing its work trajectory and success.

The main idea of the project was to create a commercial environment that brought together design refinements, comfort and timelessness. For this, we seek first the work on the façade, seeking impact, as it is a traditional street for the capital of Minas Gerais, in a noble neighborhood where elegance is highly esteemed. There was still the question of having a tree in front of the establishment, which made it difficult to initially impose this facade. It was therefore necessary for the facade to draw attention.

For this purpose, a real metal box has been created, with horizontal bands to create compass and harmony, connected with fins in various directions to create contrast. These steel fins are painted in gold yellow, which creates a sensation of fluidity for those who pass on the street. This metal box on a monolithic base at the same time generates the expected eye appeal through dynamics as well as robustness and attention to its ground floor. Looking for a device that shows how the brand is in tune with the changes and transformations of the market.

Upon entering we come across a portico of wooden fins that bring a movement and at the same time brings a warmth to the space bringing the ambience of home to the store. Inside, the atmosphere is in complete tranquility, and you feel the refuge. In the background we see the wood, which contrasts with the color of the graffiti and the garden. Pendant lamps in copper tubes mark the reception desk, creating an interesting detail, both contemporary and in keeping with the space.

As we climbed the stairs, we came across a pavement that continued its way through the store. At first glance we are shown a gold-colored brass portico, which runs from the column to the ceiling. Wooden floors and shutters complete this prominent environment as soon as the stairs arrive. Next, two panels, one on the right in leather and one on the left, a wooden panel, are complemented by another frame wall with wooden shutters. Otherwise, we create a cozy environment that seeks to make the customer comfortable as if they were in a beautiful residential environment.

State-of-the-art LED lighting is one of the highlights of the project. The set creates a clear yet warm atmosphere to the store space. At the same time, we have applied technology without interfering with the spirit of reception.

The idea of creating on each floor a space that has works in every wall and ceiling, seeking to reach cozyness into the store, allowed any layout arrangement giving freedom to the environment mounts.
