The flat is situated in a 20 y.o. residental building in Zagreb. The existing floor plan has quite irregural shape what influenced the approach in developing the renovation project solution. All the walls from previous flat organization were removed. Along the outer contour the service area is formed – an envelope that absorbs all the service facilities of the apartment - cabinets, bathroom, storage room, kitchen, drawers, shelves and a place to sleep (which can also be opened to the living area of the apartment). In this way, floor area is completely released leaving user the space and the ability to equip the flat with the furniture according to her taste. The envelope is designed in combination chipboard and matt lacquered MDF board. The MDF panels have decently perforated handles and holes to ensure the air flow. The bathroom is hidden in the envelope, as well as working desks / counters which can then be unfolded and used for working and cooking.
