There are a lot of old things in the Gwanghwamun area. This building where the restaurant 'Gwanghwamun Seafood' was recently opened also has more than a half century of history. The designers focused on achieving harmony by preserving the time of the 1940s and blending this with modernity. In order to ascertain the appearance of the building of the past, we first stripped it down before designing. We used the wooden gable structure and the walls used as the interior and exterior structural material found from stripping the building down as design elements for representing the past.
