Ultraconfidentiel designed and built the high-end 15,000 sq.ft. offices of TCG in BKC, Mumbai.
The design of the space located on the 11th and 12th floors visualises and reflects the client’sliking of Simple and Organic yet Luxurious look.
Ultraconfidentiel processed, analysed, innovated and designed its application to the entire space. The resultant innovation was the creation and design of a core shape in wood.An impact of awe and luxury begins right at the TCG reception with a unique ceiling installation comprising about 5000 wooden baffles which produce an Amorphic impression of wavy undulations, right above the desk. The lighting was cleverly built into the baffles itself such that no other external light is used nor required. Creative Brass inlay work on marble forms the highlight on the reception’s lone desk. The entire luxurious impression with the wooden baffles is carried on in the ceiling of the Chairman’s office where the effect is magnified and highlighted along its walls with the use of high-end material like leather, marble, brass and wooden flooring. The large table in the Board Room forms the cynosure of all eyes who enter here, with it brass inlay work on marble that replicates an art-piece which had caught the eye of the Chairman’s spouse.
“Subtle materials for aluxurious experience”
The usage of materials to create a distinction in the work place was challenging. Ultra chose wood as the base material and merged marble and brass with organic elements like preserved green plants to soften up the surrounding areas and create an informal ambience combined with leather to produce a High-end luxurious look and feel.
A subtle grey and white atmosphere, with the presence of greens give to the workstation area a fresh and contemporary feeling. Materials as wood for task lights align desks to produce a calming effect, which is also bright, natural and cozy. The cabins follow the same language in terms of the materials used to translate into a formal look and feel. Organic and abstract elements, preserved plants brought in from Italy, glazed glass in cabins and corridors and the soft curved seating in the cafeteria, all merge into a coordinated yet differently interpreted design to link the inside with the outside.
Creating a story board using same elements, constantly customized and manipulated in various manners to form a coherent flow and narrative along the entire space.
TCG work station areas and cabins follow the same language in terms of the materials used to translate into a formal way and look via a colour scheme of subtle grey, white and green which renders a relaxing atmosphere to the entire area. Task lights made of wood like material, desks made of wood, grey high-end chairs and a simple grey carpet align to produce a calming effect, which is also bright, natural and cozy. Baffles, dark grey and simple yet bold are used along the wall and storage area in the cabins, thus linking the outside to the inside in a formal manner. Organic and abstract elements, preserved plants brought in from Italy, glazed glass in cabins and corridors and the soft curved seating in the cafeteria, all mesh in a coordinated yet differently interpreted design to link the inside with the outside.
The resultant design flow ensured there were no sharp edges in the space, only soft flowing curvatures along the entire architectural area!
