Haus Baden

This project originated from an existing, rather ordinary, two-storey house. Especially the double-pitched roof is being redesigned according to new needs of the owners. The outer skin is upgraded , regarding current insulation requirements. Despite a very small budget, it is a convincing transformation of both interior and exterior which could be achieved by few yet effective interventions.

By inserting large-scale windows, trimming of the roof overhang and matching facade and roof surfaces a distinct, homogeneous and consistent entity emerges. Living room and kitchen are situated on the ground floor, which opens up to the adjacent garden, while sleeping rooms are on the first floor.
