Haus Schwendebuehel Dornbirn

Aicher Architekten as Architects

The Property is in a very steep Site over Dornbirn and is oriented to the west to the Rhine Valley. The new building is at the edge of a single family house settlement on the outskirts of Dornbirn. The development is made mountain-laterally by a public road.

Due to the very steep tendency and geological conditions became common with the geologist and stress analyst a construction compiles, which clears away the solidium over large vertical disks in the soil. In order to create optimal view relations, the level of the dwellings was set as highly as possible, the sleep area is one floor deeper. Two large terraces are placed at the south and west front of the house and each one ensure a structural sunning and weather protection.

The building is a construct from horizontal and vertical exposed concrete disks. The input area is divided into three parts, those the reduced material choice of the total house already suggest: concrete, natural stone, glass and finery.
