This project has been located in Mollasadra St., Esfahan,Iran, with total area of 1033 m2 on a 32*18 m land. It has some neighbors with five and six floor length of building in its for directions, but this building has been designed for family life in two floors as customer’s wish, which caused the first designing challenge on “how to limit the neighbors’ commanding view”.
For this purpose, creating an opening in the building or the central courtyard, which is also one of the paradigms of Iranian architecture, was chosen as the main concept and an attempt was made to use it with a new look at ideation in order to strengthen the penetration of light into the plan. This opening with a sun roof in the ceiling, in addition to the ability to convert the pool into an outdoor pool, can play an effective role in natural ventilation. In this way, with the opening of the pool roof, the fresh air enters, the wind cools and purifies by passing on the pool water surface and exits from the other side of the building by passing through the interior space. Therefore, the pool can be considered as a turning point of this project, which in addition to the above features, most of the interior spaces, including the reception saloon, living room, study, master bedroom and dining room; have a view of it.t
Another idea of this project is to place the living space (living room and kitchen) on the south side to benefit the best view and light, and this is contrary to the existing stereotypes that usually place the reception area on this side.
