"We did not want a dentist's office, but a place where children feel completely comfortable - a kind of children's playground." (Dr. Verena Bürkle)
In keeping with this guiding principle, we designed a special pediatric dentistry practice in the new Riedenburg district in Salzburg.
The practice zoned itself with the treatment rooms around the access corridors and functional rooms. The resulting open spaces - reception, children's and parents' waiting room
as well as open oral hygiene - are creatively used with abstract graphic and haptic materials that also serve as a guidance system through the practicality of the room.
In the waiting area, waiting at eye level can be shortened with the parents. Three podium levels covered with artificial turf, which also represent storage space,
invite you to play or as a starting point for climbing the mountain massifs. The central seat island, as well as a wall covering with reading tables and shelves
underline the zoned waiting room concept.
The floors in wood look give the practice the required warmth and an appealing contrast to the graphic wall areas and pastel colors.
In the treatment rooms, color nuances create an individual character. Matching the seating, these are in blue, orange and pink, creating a friendly atmosphere.
At the same time, the lightness of the colors does not create too many stimuli and provides a calming environment for the patients.
