The project


The assignment was conceive a project of a house that would be constructed in a few months, whit a remote team of workers. Therefore systematize construction, easy mounting , solve simple details, was part of how to approach this project.


A weekend house in La Pedrera , a little village at the Atlantic coast , 220 km from Montevideo, in the department of Rocha, Uruguay. An affordable housing , easy, concrete . This work was done with a remote team of workers ,Hence it was decided to use the block of concrete block as " unique " material incorporating different sizes and formats.


The site The site is La Pedrera, a little village at the Atlantic coast , 220 km from Montevideo, in the department of Rocha, Uruguay. The area, a flat terrain of 12x36, in a young eucalyptus forest, a few blocks from the sea.


The Program Two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, an interior space ( dining - room), an outer space (deck - grill ) . A sequence of programmatic bands . Simple spaces, are defined by geometry and the program . Interior 64m2 Outside 32m2


The piece defines a contour, a boundary of blocks , solid and drafts, that incorporates into the perimeter the outer space - barbacue deck . This housing is formed as a single piece , Abstract , which contains the program into their "inner" . Externally the house , connects , but does not colonize . Only a low wall defines vehicular and pedestrian entrance , which take advantage of the talls eucalyptus shades.
