The functional structure is more characteristic of a city than of a single building. Four buildings on a shared street-cum-plinth. Very clear and effective circulation routes, reduced to the minimum but respecting at all times the tripartite separation of general public, authorized personnel and the accused. The commitment to sustainability in the natural lighting and ventilation of all the work areas determines the depth of the floor plan. The building draws a new skyline for the city. A variable cross section: a skin that wraps the building in a zig-zag rhythm. The outcrops and variable shoots reduce the scale, blending in with a residential setting of varying heights. Acceptance of diversity and the multiple, understanding that, in practise, one is one and many at the same time.
