The team of S&P and ZahaHadid Architects were selected, following a design competition, to be the architects of the Aquatic Centre for the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in London. The facility contains two permanent 50m 10 lane pools,. The legacy proposal will see a final capacity of around 3,500 spectators from the 20,000 seat Olympic mode.
