On a green location that was previously used for greenhouse cultivation, GROOSMAN architects, commissioned by Diana van Os, have transformed a multifunctional greenhouse area into a space where care, meeting, and connection are central.
The cultural-historical value of the location has been specifically incorporated into the new design. Greenhouses and landscape have become intertwined, and the greenhouse serves as an extension between indoor and outdoor spaces. A finely woven Feng Shui network connects the various spaces and guides visitors from the landscape to the public, semi-public, and private areas within the greenhouse.
The interior is designed according to the 14 patterns of biophilic design, which brings peace and harmony within the space. Nature is brought into the space through a variety of greenery, views of the landscape, and temperature changes. Natural analogs such as materials, colors, shapes, sequences, and patterns found in the natural world activate the human connection with nature.
