A small remodeling of a two bedroom duplex in a Palam Vihar. The project essentially involved converting disused spaces in a very small living unit into new repurposed spaces. The challenge lay in bringing in a certain amount of light, inserting a study, and adding considerable amounts of storage, without diminishing the already constrained space within the house.
Reused wood and carefully chosen hand glazed tiles in the kitchen, a large bamboo ceiling suspended light installation in the double height over the staircase and a study cum library in the old unused corridor add a special character to the space that otherwise was dull and characterless.
