FDN Engineering developed a modular bridge of a fibre reinforced ultra high performance concrete. The connection between the elements takes place via prestressing cables. Because the bridge is modular, it can be build flexible and quickly. The lightweight structure also reduces the transportation costs.
The expectation is that the fibre reinforced ultra high performance concrete safes money on long terms.
The deck is 60 mm high, but the super strength of the UHPC holds the weight of fire trucks or ambulances.
