The purpose of the project is to generate a scientific and anthropological vision of one of the most important historical traditions of Celaya, Guanajuato; through an architecturally sensory and educational experience, creating a meeting point: social, tourist and cultural, that reaffirms the qualities and customs of a unique place with a great historical heritage, such as Celaya.
In order to take advantage of the land and free up as much public space as possible, it was proposed to condense the architectural program into a semi-buried element and thus reduce its height above the street.
In the upper part of the program, a multipurpose space for temporary exhibitions was located, while in the lower part the catacombs and the permanent exhibition with a tour were located. The structure is made up of apparent concrete walls.
