Nataly Bolshakova’s Family Home

Bolshakova Interiors as Architects

What are the key inspirations behind the design of this property?
The client’s major consideration was to have plenty of space, something lacking in many apartments! This was their first house, so naturally the work on the project was very emotional.

How would you define the style of this home?
A country house with a modern makeover, where integrity and harmony with the environment are fundamental components of the design.

What was the biggest challenge you faced?
A structurally difficult decision was to create a floating quartzite counter in the kitchen. This required tremendous professionalism from the designer and builders. We redesigned it several times until we got the effects of absolute weightlessness.

What colour palette and materials did you use for the interior design?
We used soothing shades and natural materials.
