In spring 2025, NEON, a global leader in virtual experiences and exhibitions, opened a newly designed venue at Battersea Power Station in London. Located directly next to the iconic industrial complex on Circus Road East, the site brings NEON’s internationally successful immersive exhibition concepts to the British capital on a permanent basis for the first time.
Initial exhibitions such as Jurassic World are already running, marking the launch of many future events. The new venue expands London’s cultural offering with an innovative platform for experience-driven formats.
The design and architectural concept of the building, as well as the striking façade design, were developed by uau studio and the Expo Pavilion Group. Star Live acted as the general contractor and led the responsible engineering team.
The distinctive façade forms the visual focal point of the building. It consists of up to 18 m long, translucent, opal solid-wall panels manufactured by Rodeca GmbH, arranged as a rainscreen in a wave-like layout in front of the structure. A sophisticated lighting concept allows the polycarbonate panels to be used as a display for the visuals of each respective exhibition.
With this new venue, NEON makes a contemporary and architecturally striking contribution to London’s cultural scene.
