Together with TenBrinke Group, SSP has won the general contractor tender for the new office building to be constructed for Amprion GmbH in a multi-stage competition. The design concept for the office building for 680 employees, including underground parking and canteen, was developed by SSP AG. The specifications for modern and needs-based workplaces were implemented with a maximum of flexibility, openness and transparency.
Amprion's newly planned office building Projekthaus 2.022 is located directly opposite the company headquarters at the Phönix West site in Dortmund-Hörde.
The aim is to create an equally prestigious building without competing with the existing building. Rather, the "sister" extends the family at the site. The contours and lines show a clear affiliation.
The building is accessed via a two-storey entrance area, which opens up the foyer with access to the central staircase, the conference area and the canteen.
The strong contrasts of the existing building are deliberately reduced in the new building in order to develop its own character. Both the color scheme and the staged green areas on different levels underline the claim to be a sustainable, responsible and future-oriented company. The open spaces created by the inner courtyards, terraces and loggias provide natural lighting for the offices and can be used as green oases. The eastern inner courtyard with direct access via the foyer can also be used as a representative building area.
The buildings constructed to date are very heterogeneous in terms of their color and material design. This makes it all the more important to create a common presence at the site with the existing Amprion building. The shape of the building is confidently oriented towards the existing building, in which the floor plan takes up the shape of the Amprion logo and at the same time is arranged around the two resulting inner courtyards in a very space- and access-efficient manner. The number of storeys and the extent of the building are based on the surrounding buildings. The structure follows the stipulations of the development plan, in which the building lines and building boundaries are specified.
The new building with underground parking was completed in 24 months.
The modern project house is characterized by its sustainable construction and energy efficiency, which complies with the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). Most of the building's energy consumption is covered by 30 geothermal probes and a 96-kW photovoltaic system that covers 470 m² of the roof. The two inner courtyards of the new building were extensively greened. The planned primary energy requirement is therefore 59 kWh per year and m². Particular emphasis was placed on a resource-conserving supply chain when selecting the building materials.
The underground parking garage offers space for 230 vehicles and around 100 bicycles. The majority of the car parking spaces and half of the bicycle parking spaces have an electric charging connection.
