With the construction of the new apartment building on Friedrich Alfred Straße, the final project on the last vacant lot of the former Post-school grounds was built. The contract wasawarded by Gebag mbH to the architects Druschke and Grosser, who have won the urban planning competition around 20 years ago and have built various residential buildings in the surrounding plots.
In the direct proximity to the city center of Rheinhausen, 14 subsidized barrier-free accessible apartments ranging from 46 to 94 m² have been built. A colorful mix of apartments that appeals to singles as well as families. Via the generously proportioned foyer, the residents reach the bright and warm colored staircase. The budget was though constrained, but the implementation of the ideally coordinated materials was what characterized the high-quality architecture.
