Integral rehabilitation

homemade home as Architects

This is the comprehensive rehabilitation and expansion of a 1945 building that consists of 4 independent homes. It is a building built with traditional construction techniques and with a scale and volumetry that we consider worthy of maintaining, which has been expanded with a setback volume on the first floor that is not visible from Olvido Street (main façade).

The idea has been to try to bring to light the original construction materials that we find, trying to dialogue with new materials with a neutral aesthetic that respond to simple maintenance and that have the most ecological behavior possible.

The building has been completely insulated throughout its envelope, thus improving its energy efficiency.
