Aware of the issues related to the construction of the new sports hall with a basketball focus, as well as the renovation and extension of the existing gym, our project aims to meet the expectations of the program and offers quality spaces for athletes, whether amateur, professional or school, as well as for spectators. After reading the programmatic, environmental and economic data of the consultation, the project uses architectural and technical solutions aiming at taming these constraints. Particular attention has also been paid to controlling the investments linked to the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment.
The implantation of the extension volumes of the Palais des Sports, built 27 years ago, takes care to limit as much as possible the image of an additional "addition" to the fragmented architecture of the sports complex. The positioning of the gymnasium aims to avoid unnecessary encroachment on the tree-lined health course by squeezing as closely as possible against the existing buildings, while preserving their functionalities, their daylight and their technical requirements (access, ventilation, etc.). The project of the sports hall foresees the creation of two levels. An entrance hall level at 72.50 NGF allowing to connect on the same level to the circulations of the Palais des Sports and to the natural ground, and a second one at 74.00 NGF leveling the new hall and the existing warm-up room via a direct circulation accessible to the PMR
