Harmonious shapes and lines for an eco-sustainable and people-friendly result

Scrigno as Manufacturers

Scrigno solutions take a leading role in the prestigious Parchitello Alta project, promoted and created by GIEM s.r.l, based in Bari; a project of great aesthetic and environmental importance, that grew out of the refurbishment of a building dating from the early 1990s. Consisting in 48 single-family villas and 63 apartments, it covers a total surface area of 95,000 m² and is just a stone’s throw from the sea in the municipality of Noicàttaro, in the province of Bari. The elegant finishing touches are the key to this complex, which has a delicately Mediterranean feel. It features natural stone cladding, wood and marble flooring, a teak deck around the pool and artisan doors and frames and its hallmark is a delightful sensation of tranquillity and balance, evoked by the harmonious diversity of the building’s precious materials.

The residential centre is the perfect example of contemporary architecture, featuring plastic shapes with embellished and moulded details that highlight the fine weaving of materials and underline the power of the building. The aim of the project was to create a highly eco-sustainable and energy-efficient complex, where the sophisticated monolithic and linear style played a central role. From the planning phase through to realisation, the aim of the architect behind the project – Giuseppe Furio – was to exploit the simple, cartesian forms of the existing buildings and re-evaluate them in terms of architectural design, increasing living comfort with people-friendly solutions.

The concept of living spaces reflects the uniqueness of the facades, crossed by a central theme of purity and linearity: this is the basic idea behind Parchitello Alta. In this respect, the geometric town planning aspect of the exteriors – with broad expanses of greenery and pools, pedestrian walkways and common areas – is naturally balanced by the interiors, where Gold and Essential by Scrigno door frames have been used with great skill. In this context, Scrigno solutions were chosen for their extraordinary ability to bring the rigorous simplicity of exteriors into the home, thanks to a process involving the minimal interpretation of space. The exceptional material and structural solidity of the traditional Gold line and the simple details of the Essential frames and doors – the highest expression of the renowned artisan quality of the Scrigno brand – reflect the aesthetic exigencies of the project, shaping personal space yet at the same time, perfectly in line with the architectural style, whose cornerstone is attention to detail. Inside the complex, robust and accentuated volumes combine with transparencies to shape the space, creating a harmonious link between the aesthetic values of contemporary architecture and the past, favouring a delightful contrast of time and style with the surrounding landscape.

Architect Giuseppe Furio, project manager explained, “The decision to use Scrigno as a supplier lies in the excellence of its solutions: in my opinion, Scrigno is without doubt the leader in its sector in terms of quality and performance over time. Furthermore, the philosophy of the company perfectly matches my vision of the project: a series of pure volumes, light and shade, capable of shaping intimate spaces and practical areas, in full respect of the environment and of man. At Parchitello Alta, luxury becomes sustainable: in fact, the precise objective of all design, construction and plant design and installation choices was to achieve maximum living comfort and A+ class energy efficiency.”

Francesco Bigoni, Marketing Director of Scrigno Unipersonale S.p.A. declared, “We are proud that our products were chosen to be part of this prestigious urban planning project with an elegant Mediterranean flavour. Inside each home in the complex, Scrigno solutions have helped to shape spaces to ensure they meet the demands of modern living. At the same time, they were installed as a symbol of modern and minimalist design, in line with the latest interior design trends. In the prestigious setting of Parchitello Alta, Scrigno has succeeded in offering both practicality and elegance, providing a modern and innovative solution that meets the needs of contemporary living.”
