Patty House

Haven Space Design as Interior Architects

Embracing the second half of life, the owner couple decide to open a new chapter with a beloved, relaxing American-style home, envisioning a brighter life in the future.

At the entryway, black and white checkered tiles elegantly welcome the owner back.

Stepping into the main space, the ceiling is adorned with graceful crown molding. White shutters beautify the standard appearance of the airtight windows, creating a classic American atmosphere in the common area. The light shines through the shutters gracefully and layeredly, bringing ever-changing patterns over time, adding a soft and serene atmosphere to the space.

The TV wall is adorned with slim ceramic tiles, the translucent texture of which is like water flowing through the calm and solid stone texture. Two elements with different characters collide with each other, presenting in a way that is both strong and soft.

Behind the sofa, the dining area is designed with an island incorporated with the dining table. The side wall, complementing the water-flowing texture of the island's thin panel, is entirely painted in a fresh aqua blue, resembling a few leisurely white clouds reflected on a lake's surface, creating a calm yet cheerful atmosphere.

The smooth edges of the dining table allow arms to lean comfortably. Instead of the common thick and carved American-style table legs, we opted for a rounded and sleek design with clean lines, continuing the style while blending with modern design language. The fireplace wall in the back as the focal point extends the aqua blue from the side wall. The inclined surface of the fireplace, with the sharp lines of the doors, also showcases the fusion of American style and modern design.

The master bedroom, painted with the hostess’ favorite dusty rose, creates a feminine elegance atmosphere. The windows decorated with wooden shutters provide both ventilation and privacy. The wardrobe doors are decorated with moldings, adding a fresh and classical touch. On both sides of the bed, bone china pendant light and wall sconces are used as atmospheric and reading lighting respectively. The unique translucency of bone china highlights the intricate lines of the lamp itself.

Here is not just a space; it's a sanctuary for emotions, where every detail embodies the owners' love for and pursuit of life. The melody of life surrounds every poetic corner, and the passage of time here becomes gentle.
