The apartment is situated near the Towers Quart, in Valencia capital. This is a 60 square meters apartment. Situated in the city center this flat has its own identity with high ceiling and old decorative moldings which we have decided to restore and emphasize. We have created a fluid space between the living room , the baby room and the kitchen. This is an unique open space divided by glazed wood carpentry with traditional customized moldings inspired by the old design of the existing doors. As an apartment for a young family with one baby is in need of a lot of storage. For this we have created a storage module composed by the wardrobe in the bedroom and the build-in cupboard near the kitchen where the laundry cabinet is located. The passageway and the rooms were divided by introducing two different types of materials, wood and ceramic tiles. The black and white porcelain tiles are a reminder of the old ones but with a more actual approach such as the hardwood flooring, arranged in a herringbone pattern. All the interior details, such as the door knobs , the modern round switches and the simple range of tones, where selected with a lot of care to create a charming and warm interior to live in.
