Deep in Washington’s temperate rainforest on the Olympic peninsula, this tiny gem-of-a-cabin is located along the lakefront of Quinault, and it was lovingly renovated to preserve the charm and historical character.
The small cabin, once belonging to a violin maker, was completely remodeled keeping much of the interior character but introducing a complementary modern twist. The original wood stove was relocated to turn what once were bedrooms into a living space that faces the lake and connects to the outdoor deck. The bathroom was enlarged and modernized to include a shower.
The brilliant green color was sampled from the original paneling, and the salvaged and recomposed shelving encloses the bedrooms. Added sinks to each bedroom provide an added touch of hospitality.
