Why not take out of the closet that dream that we think is utopian and do everything to make it come true? This is the story of 4 friends who decided to fill themselves with courage, put the dream into practice and give birth a space with honest food taste and smell of coffee. Raiz emerges from the passion for healthy, simple, cruelty-free and delicious food and the spatial design, as well as the graphic identity developed by Newww, has the main objective to be the mirror of this dream merged with the identity of the menu.
We started with a cleaning process of existing space, in order to be able to work in a clear, wide and simple way, mirroring the values of healthy food, environmental concern and customer care. The open kitchen to the living room is an example of the transparency and honesty of cooking. The small and cozy space encourages proximity to customers. Plants, wood, vegetable fibers and the stone wall are the symbol of the natural concept.
As it was intended to have an inclusive and versatile space, several public areas were developed. The long table and high benches beside the window offer individual or pair use, where you can enjoy the direct relationship with the street and the warm rays of sunlight that come through the window. It is a space to wait for friends who haven´t arrived yet, read a book while having tea or even work with a good coffee. There are also small table areas for a more intimate snack between couples or for a good conversation between friends, and two spaces for larger groups, one of which can easily be transformed into a workshop area.
There is a welcoming and inclusive space, capable of adapting to different situations, so that everyone and in different ways can enjoy a tasty pancake or a good glass of organic wine.
