This 260m² apartment belongs to a couple who lived and worked in the city of São Paulo, but who dreamed of moving to the city of Curitiba, in the State of Paraná, when they retired. After some searching for professionals, they met architects Nicolle Nogueira and Katherine Heim Weber, who managed to capture their essences and personalities, translating them into architecture.

The property was purchased off-plan, and the planning between construction, renovation and interiors coincided with the couple's retirement period. The professionals then had time to make all the necessary adaptations to provide better adaptation to their lives, which are very dynamic and urban. The biggest need in the project was to have a functional apartment for everyday life and that combined functions with different possibilities of use and leisure, since family relationships are very important for them.

Endowed with a singularly youthful vision, the clients have a passion for art and design, attributes they wanted to incorporate into their dream apartment, thus reflecting the careful construction they carried out throughout their lives. With refined tastes, they prioritized comfort and quality in every aspect of the property. The inspiration for the project was based on bringing a curation of high quality elements, carefully selected to be in tune with your aesthetic preferences.

It was clear that the clients had a more contemporary view of architecture when they brought some color references, including the preference for darker shades of gray and black, as a subtle touch in the composition. The architects then sought to find a balance by introducing specific pieces in light tones, such as the stone used in the kitchen and the selected flooring. In this way, they reserved the darkest points as focal elements, highlighting them in the furniture present in the apartment. This approach resulted in a harmonious and sophisticated aesthetic, where each element plays a significant role in the composition of the space.

The living room, which harmoniously integrates with the kitchen, TV room and barbecue area, received special attention in terms of art and design curation. A key element in this space is the presence of a sliding door that allows the kitchen to be separated when desired, and that is completely hidden behind a piece of furniture, providing practicality and versatility to the environment. A notable highlight within the space is the dining table lamp, whose design was conceived by NK Arquitetura itself, and which has received international recognition for its originality and excellence. This piece not only brightens the room in an elegant and functional way, but also adds an extra dose of sophistication and exclusivity to the dining room.

The property had four bedrooms, and one of them was transformed into the TV room, which was developed to provide more intimate comfort. Although it also has a television in the social area, it guarantees options for different moments of entertainment and relaxation. In the private area, they created spaces focused on coziness, each choice of material was carefully thought out to maximize the comfort of the rooms, creating a relaxing refuge for residents and guests, within each personality. An office was also designed in the private circulation at the request of clients, who will continue to be active in occasional work and studies.
