This school group is located in East of France in Alsace. This kind of building has to be healthy and a pleasant place that’s why generous and luminous interior spaces are used.
The implantation of this building responds to two main intentions :
- It emerges in the landscape; the building is identifiable in an intercommunal scale.
- It also suggests an intermediate scale, a transition between an important public equipment and little village houses. Thus a place dedicated to childhood, with more privacy, variety and softness is created.
The other guidelines for this school group are : the opening on the landscape, the research of a bioclimatic implantation, the flow management, the control of the different access, the identification and separation of courtyards and protection towards noise and visual pollution. Inside, the building is organized around a common hall, a real living space which leads to all of the different parts of the school group. It’s the real heart of the building.
