Scorpios Bodrum, Turkiye

Scorpios Bodrum, a contemporary agora on the Aegean coast.

StudioMacBride as Interior Desginer

On the edge of Turkey’s southwest coast, a gathering place that builds on the concept of the ancient Greek agora emerges from the peninsula like a mirage. Scorpios Bodrum is composed of a restaurant, bazaar, sunset terrace, rituals temple, beach club, and twelve villas.

Each space is meticulously crafted to embody the essence of Scorpios: by integrating both the natural and cultural surroundings of Bodrum’s location with our quintessential approach, our design exemplifies the meeting point of contemporary Mediterranean living and soft modernism.

Weaving in elements of Bodrum’s landscape, our design thoughtfully mirrors the peninsula’s natural colour palette, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. Each space is marked by our studio’s signature, from the Turkish travertine that characterises the counters in both public and private areas to the timbered elements in the villas and clubhouse, and their gentle nod to the interiors of the Ottoman era.

At Scorpios Bodrum, our design harmonises the boundaries between the natural and the manmade, aligning with the project’s intention to be a communal meeting point for shared celebration and soulful gatherings.
