It’s already possible to admire the emotional impact of Seves Q30 Diamante glass blocks on the building site of the Horizonal Tower, the building projected by the studio 5+1AA Alfonso Femia Gianluca Peluffo that will house the management of Sviluppo Sistema Fiera in Milan. In the project, approx. 1.700 glass blocks with an asymmetrical pyramid form come about thanks to the partnership between the architects and Seves glassblock, the world leader manufacturer in the production of glass block for design and architecture, have been used for the north-west closing wall of the double height volume of the meeting room, located in the intermediate terrace between the 5th and 6th floors. This transparent volume, a kind of void mid-building, is like an environment suspended between the city and the territory and conveys a sense of spatial lightness and magic: the three-dimensionality of the glass blocks allows the light to be filtered and reflected in a changing manner, accentuating this effect of suspension. The result of a sensual dialogue of the designers with the material, Q30 Diamante has been much sought-after by 5+1AA as a new possibility to offer variations on themes that are recurrent in their work: the interaction with natural light and the nocturnal metamorphosis, the interior-exterior relationship, the search for beauty as dialogue and wonder.
