"Sushi Café Avenida" - Japanese Restaurant

New Japanese Restaurant Concept

Saraiva + Associados as Architects

Integrating a Premium concept, this new space conveys an innovative and attractive image evidenced by the games of light and different developed environments – Bar, Sushi Bar, Dining area and Japanese Zone. Although with distinct functions, they reinforce the creation of a strong and innovative space. Moreover, the access to the restaurant area develops from the building’s main atrium. The entrance and the reception area is longitudinally followed by the Sushi Bar, which assumes a great preponderance of the space and acts as a linking element between the two public areas – the dining area (interior) and the lounge/bar area (by the display window). The lounge is represented by a bar which sits in a privileged location, close to the building’s main façade. This arrangement allows the creation of a great dynamism between the interior and exterior. The dining zone, a relaxation compartment, is strategically located in the most guarded place within the restaurant. With the intention of escaping from the traditional Japanese image, the restaurant transmits a modern and distinguishing concept, which was functionally conceived in order to provide different sensations and moments of leisure.
