The Motor & Sport Institute

PORCELANOSA as URBATEK - Porcelain stoneware

The Motor & Sport Institute is born with the great dream of facilitating future engineers and mechanics with a solid practical training in the best facilities, and thus meet market needs. Its spatial configuration and flexibility create a unique building that integrates the main areas of sports car racing and automotive engineering, included in its over 12,000 square meters.

The building is articulated from a great hall that connects with all the spaces thanks to the visual continuity provided by the double-height, the amplitude of the large windows with mirrored glass, the circular connection stairs, and a wide white canvas on the flooring that brings even more life to the firm’s corporate colors in the details and furniture.

During the 2018/2019 academic year, and in collaboration with the University Francisco de Vitoria (UFV), the new Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering will be taught at the University Campus with minors in automotive sector, industrial organization, industrial technologies, and robotics. This area is set up by combining the same porcelain tile flooring material that continues from the staircase to the corridors in a grayish hue to channel the traffic to the various spaces, following the same chromatic pattern: white, greys, red, blue, and black.

Another flagship space of the Motor & Sport Institute is the Motorsport Area, which houses the headquarters of the Teo Martin Motorsport racing teams, where technical development is combined with the research and evolution of all its motor sector equipment. The departments of Dynamics, Composite, Powertrain, e-Powertrain, Machining, Metrology, Paint, and Bodywork make up the R & D center, where collaborations are generated with companies specialized in the automotive sector. In these areas the premise for the choice of materials was obtaining the feeling of being in a laboratory; neutral colors help reinforce this idea and provide light to the spaces.

The international first-class facilities are contained in the Bio Engineering Center, to service the improvement of the athlete, who will have professionals available with experience in Formula 1, physiotherapy and osteopathy services, monitoring and planning

by a specialized clinical department, periodic athlete biomechanics studies, mental evaluation, and coaching during the sports period, hyperbolic training, and controlled climate or pre- and post-race nutrition work.

The eSports Driver Academy is the world’s first school for virtual eSports pilots. A comprehensive training plan is framed within it, for the comprehensive training of virtual pilots, which is unique in the world and is certified by the Royal Spanish Motoring Federation. Vehicle dynamics, data acquisition, marketing, use of social networks, protocol and attention to the media, or values and ethics of the sport, will be some of the theoretical and practical areas in which the pilots from the MSI eSports Driver Academy will be trained.

The Classic Car Collection includes one of the most important collections of classic cars belonging to Teo Martín. They provide the experience of living in the races and working in a professional team or feeling the adrenaline of a full-throttle lap with one of the team pilots inside a BMW M6 GT3.

Motor & Sport Institute is created as a space where motorsport fans can find unique experiences that will reinforce their passion for the motoring world.
