In the center of Heraklion, Crete, renovated house of the 80s, making a proposal that combines contemporary housing design with selected elements of that period.
In designing the space, selected the logic of open plan (free plan), with kitchen and living room imaginary aiming at pushing the limits, a key element of the holding orientation and varying quality of natural light. This combined space functions as a boundary between the two bedrooms, constituting the core of the house. Transparent but compact, the glass panel allows communication spaces while retaining their autonomy.
Matte and shiny textures, hot and cold materials, transitions and creative contrasts characterize the design of the house composing its unique identity. Marble 1980s dressing floors of rooms, restored and covers a hallmark of design. For vertical surfaces selected wood, which contrasts with the smooth finishing of marble floors.
The upgrade of the building is not limited to indoors, but for the most effective and energy-efficient operation throughout the year, placed insulating windows, facade and heat pump.
