Warnock II Senior Housing: Green Roof

KSK Architects Planners Historians, Inc. as Architects

Located on the busy Germantown Avenue commercial corridor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this new three-story mixed-use building accommodates 46 fully accessible apartments for seniors on the second and third floors, with PHA offices and services, an adult daycare center, and a large multi-purpose room below. The project includes a green roof, and a roof terrace to provide an amenity for the residents. The development transformed a formerly vacant blighted block, and has provided a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization. The design of the building reflects the traditional rowhouse scale of the neighborhood.
