Högl winery in the Wachau

The winery is located at the end of the Wachau, where the Spitzer Graben opens towards the Waldviertel. The Spitzer Graben is at the climatic limit of viticulture, it is colder and more inhospitable than outside on the Danube. But it is precisely this climate and the soils of gneiss and mica slate that make the wines so unique.
