Much of the period features of the 107 m² flat in the old building have been preserved over the years. In addition to opulent stucco ceilings, the original panelled doors and box-type windows, the old oak parquet flooring has been refurbished and added room by room.
By partially removing an interior wall, two of the front rooms were combined to create a large kitchen/living room. A small utility and storage room is now located in front of the new kitchen. Where the kitchen used to be is now the children's room, which has been fitted with a robust linoleum floor.
Underfloor heating was added to the enlarged and completely renovated bathroom. Various items of built-in furniture such as the washbasin, wardrobe and living room shelving were redesigned, with particular emphasis placed on a harmonious interplay of surfaces and colours.
