A criminal fire in 2015 destroyed the old boxing room in the Stade Infroit complex.
City of Villepinte decided to demolish the entire building and commissioned ER Architect / VERDI and AVA to create a new building
for the boxing license-holder.
The goals of the project were :
- create a proportionnal building into the context and scale of the stade and the neighbourhood (mix of individual houses and big social housing),
- create a multipurpose building for the practice of the boxe and soccer, and use of differents associations.
- make easy the use and entrance for peaple, license-holders and differents association who use the structure
Program
Many sporting associations use the installation of the building : 3 boxing structure, 2 soccer team and the venue of many school for educational purpose.
The boxing space includes 4 locker-room for boxing and football use, lockers fit for the local federation rules.
A specific space for a soccer association is fit at the extremities, directly open toward the soccer field.
The project fit in the continuity of the existing ping-pong building, and parallel to the longside of the scoccer field, with covered integrated terraces.
The buiding is design like a graduated volume witch give a colorful facade toward the stade, protecting the neighbours.
A long porch roof protect the spectator and designed with the same lightly material than the facade : implemented lights are here to boost the lighting effect of the carving mass.
