On the corner of Mr. De Boerlaan and Industrieweg, a multiplehousing complex has been built that is connected to the existing De Koopman property. There are affordable apartments that have private outdoor space and a communal roof terrace. The maisonettes have a private entrance on the street. Wider apartments will be located on the upper level and a parking garage will be located on the first floor. The Koopman, situated next to the main entrance to the residential building, is the place for meeting and working. The entire complex will be owned by housing corporation Rentree.
The Havenkwartier area offers space for artists, entrepreneurs, quirky self-builders and all with a rough industrial edge. The KOP building signals the beginning of the 'Havenkwartier' in Deventer from the inner city and thus reflects what is happening there: a lively, tough and quirky new district.
