An interior in dark shades is a boldness that not every homeowner and far from every designer dares to do. All because of numerous stereotypes: supposedly black visually "eats" the room and looks too gloomy and depressing. This is true - but only if the interior is decorated illiterately and chaotically. Using the example of a new project, the SENCE ARCHITECTS architectural studio proves that dark shades can look expensive and luxurious without changing the atmosphere of home comfort with a more traditional and "safe" palette.
A dark interior is always the subtlest play of colors. The penthouse balances on the border of coal-black and gray-blue shades, the shade of "dark chocolate," and many similar variations. At the same time, the pond is made of natural materials, such as wood and marble. In dark colors, they "erase" the boundaries of the room, harmoniously weaving into a single composition. But in light ones, they serve as decoration and set the necessary accents.
Warning, the dark range is practically universal and can be used to decorate any functional area of the room. To avoid turning the space into a gloomy black box, it is essential to add accent contrasts - and SENCE ARCHITECTS specialists choose several at once. Yes, the penthouse has a light floor, and, in some places, the ceiling and mirror-reflective surfaces give a bit of gloss. Lighting is essential: the rooms are decorated with spotlights, hanging elements, and LED panels. Floor-to-ceiling window structures help to play with colors. They provide a sufficient daylight flow, harmoniously combined with the chosen design.
The use of natural stone creates the effect of status and expansiveness. And to add homely comfort and comfort to indoor plants, SENCE ARCHITECTS provided separate landscaping areas. Together with the original decor and accessories, they instantly create a feeling of "inhabited" family space. Like other projects of the architectural studio, the penthouse Black Luxury was designed according to the laws of functionality and practicality: suspended furniture and hidden installation structures are used for this purpose.
